Family Transitional Housing & Stabilization

Martha’s House provides alcohol and substance-free transitional housing for homeless families with children and single women in Umatilla and Morrow Counties. Residents live in safe, home-like units for approximately 36 months while working toward permanent housing.

Participants receive comprehensive wraparound support, including individualized case management, life skills and financial literacy education, employment and housing assistance, parenting support, and referrals to mental health and childcare services. Residents are required to actively pursue employment and housing and to save 30% of earned income to build financial stability.

Martha’s House serves approximately 18 families (about 60 individuals) annually, in FY 2025 81% of our residents successfully transitioned to permanent housing.

Our Mission

To provide compassionate transitional housing and supportive services that empower individuals and families experiencing homelessness to achieve long-term stability, independence, and hope.

What We Offer

Residents at Martha's House receive more than temporary shelter. Our program is designed to address the underlying challenges that contribute to housing instability while providing the support needed to build a stronger future.

Providing Hope, Stability, and a Path Forward

Martha's House, an outreach program of Eastern Oregon Mission, provides safe, stable, and supportive transitional housing for families and individuals experiencing homelessness in Eastern Oregon.

Since opening in 2013, Martha's House has served as more than just a place to stay—it is a place where lives are rebuilt. We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live with dignity, regain independence, and build a brighter future.

Through safe housing, personalized case management, life skills education, and connections to community resources, Martha's House helps residents overcome barriers to self-sufficiency and move toward permanent, stable housing.
